Ocean Park Expo

As mentioned in my previous post, here are pictures of this past weekend at Ocean Park Expo. It is about an hour away and right along the coast. It's a fun place to walk around and see beautiful displays. So many pretty flowers and plants. We also explored some Okinawan villages they had set up where you can tour through them. There was so much to see, we probably didn't even get around to half of it.

This is me standing on top of a whale made out of flowers!
An octopus made out of plants....
Kyle standing in front of one of the smaller Japanese huts.
This is a picture of the inside of one of the larger huts. Imagine having to sleep on straw mats!
Another picture of the inside of a hut. We assumed this is where they did some of their cooking.
Sitting in front of one of the larger houses.
Kyle took this picture of a hibiscus flower. These things grow like weeds!
Can you find me among the huge 'elephant ear' plants?

I had to share this last picture with you. While walking along the trails at the park, I had the sudden urge to use the restroom. Pretty much anytime you use a Japanese restroom, these are the toilets you find. They are in the ground! Notice the two white stools... you place one foot on each of them, squat, and do your business! Thankfully, this bathroom had a regular toilet as well. I used the regular one. :-) But sometimes you don't get that lucky.
