Job Interview!

Yesterday I got a phone call in regards to an application I submitted online about a month ago. Originally, the idea was for me was to wait until I came back from NC to start a job, but I figured I would go to the interview and just see what happens. The position I applied for was a Child and Youth Program Assistant at the Child Development Center on the base closest to our house. The title sounds pretty fancy, but pretty much it's a daycare center. They have infants up to five year olds that attend. I have heard that you get a lot of good opportunities working at a CDC.

The interview went really well. I was interviewed by two people- kind of intimidating. But, it was all good. The process for getting the position can take a long time. Apparently, there is a lot of medical stuff I have to do (to make sure I am 'fit' to watch the children,) as well as lots of training and background checks. Unfortunately, the hours I would be taking on are 'flexible'. If after a couple of months they see I am a good worker, I can apply for a set part time or full time schedule. These schedules would include benefits and time off. I did inform them that I will be going back to the states for a couple of weeks, but they seemed like it wouldn't be that big of a deal. If anything, if it conflicts with any training I need to do or for whatever reason I don't get the job because I am out of town, I can just call them up when I get back and explain that I still want to work there.

So who knows. If it's the Lord's will, I may have a job by this summer.

P.S. I really want to get a dog. I hate being at home by myself at night!

hehehe... Well Brian got me Sadie our first Christmas being married so that I wouldn't want a baby yet. So that worked for about 2 years. :)

So Joy, how would you get it home after 3 years? As always the practical mom! :)

I think you can put a dog in a dog carrier and put it with baggage right. A little sedation for pups and all is well. :)
