Johnny Apple Turkey Sandwich!

After reminiscing with my best friend, Rachel, about a cute little cafe we used to go to in Jacksonville, she reminded me about the Johnny Apple Turkey sandwich that they would make there. We were skeptical about it at first because there were apple slices on a turkey sandwich, but it ended up being one of our favorites! Anyways, I wanted to try and replicate the sandwich, but I had to use the ingredients I already had in my house. So it's not exactly the same, but it's pretty close and in my opinion tasted just as good!
Here's what you'll need:

-Your choice of bread, toasted- (I used honey wheat- pretty sure the cafe had it on a Panini)
-A couple slices of turkey
-1 Apple cut into thin slices- use about 3-4 slices (I had this red apple, but green apples would be good if you want a more tart, juicy taste. The red apple was quite juicy though!)
-Mayonnaise
-A spicy mustard (I had dijonnaise mustard on hand)
-Cheese slices (You can use any cheese you want. I think Provolone or Swiss might be the best. I used slices of Monterey Jack and it was really good! Next time though, I would have melted the cheese- maybe put the turkey slices with the cheese in the microwave for a few seconds before putting it on the bread.)

Place all ingredients on the bread and that's it! I really like the apples on there. It adds a different dynamic to the sandwich. Doesn't look like much, but it's juicy and tasty!
