Baby Shower!

This past weekend, the ladies in our church threw me a baby shower. What a blessing! It was great fellowship and everyone was so generous. It was evident that a lot of hard work was put into the shower. I am thankful for the sweet friends that showed up. Got a few big ticket items and plenty of clothes and diapers to last a while!!

Sorry this is dark... one of the ladies gave a quick devotional. It was very sweet how she talked about the blessings of being a mother and the things that our children teach us about ourselves.

One of the Japanese ladies in the church made this blanket for Isaiah. Love it! It has his name sewn in English and Japanese. So sweet!

A couple of ladies made diaper cakes stuffed with random items like blankets, clothes, washcloths. As many diapers as I received, I realize that babies go through them fast! I will say that I am also going to attempt cloth diapering. Not sure if it will be my cup of tea, but we'll see.

Got a few Anpanman items. Anpanman is the local Japanese cartoon superhero. Children love him! What's so funny is that he is made out of bread that has a paste made from sweet red beans in it. That's what "anpan" means. Hilarious.
