Well, today is my first day of training at Alligator Steps! Woohoo, I'm excited. Basically, my boss lady is having me come and sit in on a class and see how I interact with the children. So I'm trying to remind myself to smile, act overly excited about life (because kids like expressive faces and such, right?!), be patient, and have fun. Oh, and don't strangle any kids or moms. We'll see how I do. Any tips would be helpful. I'm not sure how far I will get with my thinking. Haha.
Also, today is the first day of my Japanese language classes. I'll be starting them after I am done training this morning and it will run through this whole week. I'm excited to learn more Japanese so I can add words to my existing Japanese vocabulary that consists of about 4 phrases. ;)
Then after language class, I will be going into the church to nail down curriculum for ESL. It starts next week!! YEAH! It's coming along and things are falling into place- slowly, but surely.
Busy day today. But, I like it this way. God is so good!!!!
Have a great day, ya'll! And for those of you on the east coast of the US- have a good night!

Enjoy your day! :) As for any other advice....show love to the kids...they can tell if a person sincerely cares about them and who they are and those who just pretend and don't really get to know them. Also give them respect as individuals as you maintain your authority. :) ...and just plain old enjoy them and have fun.
I'm off to bed...thanks for the post! :)
Boy, does it sound as if you are going to have your hands full. But you're right, it is good to be busy doing interesting things.
