Happy September!

Wow, can you believe it is already September?! On the 16th of this month, we will have been here for 9 months! Time seems to be flying by. The start of this month has even brought in some cooler weather. I'm praying that it's not some sick joke like... here you go-- cooler weather with a bit of a breeze one week, and then BAM next week scorching hot again. Nevertheless, I am enjoying the somewhat cooler weather.

September is a busy month. I signed up for some basic Japanese classes in the middle of the month and am excited about that. Also, I've been asked to be the coordinator of the ESL (English as a Second Language) ministry at church! The ministry is very small right now and almost non-existent, so I'm a bit nervous of this new task I'm taking on. But at the same time, I'm very excited about all the possibilities. I have a meeting with the previous ESL director next week so I am looking to get some good tips and insight from her. I've also been researching ESL programs and what works as well as looking into other churches around here that have an effective ministry. You can keep the ESL program in your prayers as we are needing more helpers as well as students. Pray that through this ministry, people will come to know the Lord. ESL will begin at the beginning of October. On top of this, I have an interview next week for a part time job. I'm looking forward to it, but not getting my hopes up. If I get it, I get it. :)

As for Kyle- he's a busy man. He started one of his college courses last week and has a good amount of work that has to be completed for the course. He has also been working hard at work and has been placed in charge of some extra activities since coming back from Corporals Course. There is a strong possibility that he will be going to Fuji for some training in October for two weeks. It will be a nice change from his normal work, but not so nice that he'll be gone.

And last but not least, Izzy is doing great. She turned a year old back in August. She is actually starting to get pretty lazy. It doesn't help that it's been too hot outside to do much of anything. But maybe this tiny breeze will stick around. She was actually able to go into work with Kyle last week. I know she was really excited about that. The guys played around with her some. They were even thoughtful and gave her a little stuffed animal, which she has chewed up and is now pooping out... FUZZ! Sorry if that was too much information. Haha. But, she's doing well- fat and happy. :)
