R.I.P. Vegetables
I have officially killed my vegetables! Well, all except for maybe two of my tomato plants. What happened, you ask? Well, I'll tell you. My mother gave me a few tips to help my little garden along and one of those tips was that putting a little bit of Miracle-Grow on my loverly green vegetation would be helpful. Apparently, I missed the "little" part and put TOO MUCH Miracle-Grow and ended up burning my lettuce and cucumber leaves. I know, it's pretty sad. We've already had a moment of silence and a proper burial for them (okay, just kidding we didn't really do that.) But, I'm praying my tomatoes will pull through. It doesn't help that it is ridiculously hot here so the sun does some serious damage to them. And they only get the morning sun! If you can't imagine how hot it gets, let me describe it to you. I walk outside at 7:00 in the morning to take the dog out to the bathroom for FIVE minutes and return to the house SWEATING. Yeah, it's bad. The weather forces me to drink lots and lots of water. Which, is a good thing. I even sweat just walking out to my car. It makes me want to stay inside all the time and be a hermit. But, alas, I cannot live that way. I must get out. Therefore, I must suffer through the pain and misery of the sweltering heat. Okay, okay, I guess it's not THAT bad. ;)

I guess you can look at it as a learning experience. I have officially killed most of my rose starts in my attempt to propagate them. But 2 of them have made it. I know this because they are sprouting leaves. Thank you Lord!
Come over and I'll share my one cucumber with you. :)
But really....Sorry about your garden! I'm sure it's disappointing...but on the good side, you'll know more about what to do for next year! :)
It's hot here too!!!! Did you hear that it hit 103* here in Marysville and 103.7* at SeaTac! It's nasty hot here and no air conditioning anywhere!!!!! (Except the mall, grocery stores, starbucks, and theatres).
Hang in there. Enjoy the sweat! It makes your skin soft. :) teehee....and your pits stink! :-P
