I've Really Let My Flower Beds Go....

Sad but it's true- I've really let my flower beds go! Remember these pictures that were taken from last year? My flowers were looking pretty good!

Look how tiny my hibiscus bush was next to the drainpipe....

Well, here's some pictures I took today...

Now look how big my hibiscus bush has gotten!!! It's taller than Kyle. And, when I planted the plants with little yellow flowers, they were tiny. The rain we have had the past few months really made them shoot up! Also, my hibiscus bush had beautiful flowers all over it up until May. Then they slowly started falling off. Maybe it's been too hot? But, I do plan to weed this place and trim up the yellow plants!

And these ones just look pitiful. The heat has really gotten to them. And of course, the weeds have taken over. But honestly, I have been in no mood to go out and weed! I am thinking about just pulling these up and mowing over it all. I'm not sure yet.

Oh, and the flowerbed where I had my banana tree is completely gone. We pulled everything up and put some grass seed over it and have been mowing over it so you can't even tell that there was even anything there in the first place. I will post pictures after our lawn has had a makeover. Something about weeding in the sweltering heat and the fact that I can hardly bend over just does not sound too appealing. So the lawn has been put on the back burner for now.  P.S. Sorry the pictures look kind of blurry. It's the humidity.......
