As most know, the new year is rapidly approaching! Kyle and I have started to think about new year's goals and I figured that one of my goals should be to write on this blog more! I know I am not the best at keeping my family up to date on things so in an effort to let them know how we are doing I am going to TRY and write more. But you have to give me some credit, I have been doing better with using snail mail. And actually, the mail system here works pretty fast! I don't know why nobody hardly writes letters anymore? It is such a happy feeling to get cards in the mail!!! Granted, most of our letters come from our grandparents, but I guess they still appreciate a good 'ole hand-written letter. Plus, I know that my grandparents don't even own a computer!
Oh, I will try to post more pictures here on the blog. Call me lazy, but seriously, blogger has got to come up with a better way of posting pictures. It's seems like a lot of work rearranging pictures on this thing. haha. I'm sure there is an easier way, but I have the slightest clue on how to do it. I have seen links on the side of people's blogs that take them to their flicker account... so I could look into that. Or I could post a link on here whenever I put new pictures on Facebook. We'll see.
Anyhoo, I don't know if you've noticed, but I thought I'd get a new look for the blog for the new year. It was my attempt at being art-sy. I love our title. I think most people read my title and think... "Joy is full of herself??" I am actually speaking of a different kind of joy. :) But, I do like the play on words.
I would list all of our goals for the new year, but we aren't done compiling our list (we've barely started. heehee.) I figure we still got a few more weeks and plus, we are getting excited about Christmas! We just put up our tree the other day! Here's a picture of it...
I love this picture because:
A. Izzy has ghetto reindeer antlers on-- she broke them before I could put them on her... so I had to tape the antlers up.
B. Izzy has her eyes closed. Too funny! Or maybe she's praying that I will get the hideous headband off of her. hmmm...
C. Well, it's a picture of our first tree together! It's not our first Christmas as a married couple, but last year, we were traveling and enjoying other people's Christmas trees.
