First Christmas in Okinawa

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! This time last year we were preparing to come here to Japan and spending time in WA. Wow, how time flies! It has been an amazing year and we have been abundantly BLESSED. We have nothing to complain about and God has taken great care of us. We wish we could see all our family. West coast and east coast family. You guys are in our thoughts. I am so excited all my family gets to finally meet my brother and sister in law's son!! I wish Kyle and I could meet our nephew as well. But such is the life of a military family. We are missing you all!

It is the close of Christmas day here. We had a great time with Kyle's shop here at the apartment. We really do consider it a ministry to cook for them and have them over. However, I don't think I want to cook for them again for a while! Haha. We had 5 batches of lasagna, garlic bread, chicken adobo with rice and way too many cookies! Thankfully a sweet friend of mine from church helped me with cooking. We did a fun gift exchange game with them, played some board games and then played with our new Christmas present- a Wii! We also got a brand new (to us) TV!!! Kyle actually picked it up off the side of the road a couple of weeks ago. Thank you, bulk trash day! It works like a charm and it's a decent size. We figured since we don't have cable, we would get something to use our new TV with. And since we are not into video games (the ones where you just sit and exercise your thumbs) we justified getting the Wii since most of the games are interactive. :) Let me tell ya, after so many games of tennis, your arm gets preeetty sore. Also for Christmas, Kyle's boss gave Kyle and myself tickets to a Spa Resort up north. It's an awesome gift! So we are planning on getting pampered here in the next couple of days. Soooo excited. Life is rough here in Okinawa.... can't ya tell?? ;)

Anyways, we wish you all a blessed day with the ones you love. Don't ever take it for granted! We are definitely learning that.

P.S. Looks like someone's been feeding my fishies?! They look fatter to me. But, it's probably just my imagination. haha.
