A Hike and a Weekend Surprise!

Yesterday, Kyle got off work early so we (including Izzy) decided to go on a little drive. We drove about an hour and a half up north and decided to hike up a little trail on top of a jungle-y mountain. It was a nice little hike. It was quite hot outside, but it was very enjoyable. At the end of the trail, we came to an open area that is actually used for hang gliding take offs. It was pretty cool. We were right on the edge of the mountain so you could look down and see the ocean. We were up pretty high. It was nice to just sit and relax once we got to the top. We had an amazing view and it was a really fun day! Afterwards, we went to the beach and got in the water for a little bit to cool off. Of course, Izzy layed on the shore and waited for us. I didn't get any good pictures of the beach we went to yesterday, but I had some pictures of another beach we went to a while ago that I decided to post instead. But, pretty much you get the idea. :)

The amazing view!
We wore Izzy out! Here she is resting up.
The water is so clear! I like being able to see what is underneath me when I go in the water.
I mentioned something about a surprise. Well, if you can believe it, our first wedding anniversary is coming up on the fourth! Time flies, doesn't it?! It's been a great year. Lots of learning and growing. Well, Kyle surprised me the other day and told me he had something planned for our anniversary. I know, I know, everyone together now....AWWWww!! And of course, I am not good with surprises, so I got him to tell me what he had planned! It ends up that we will be going on a 3-day get-a-way to a neighboring island called Yoron Island off the coast of Oki. How exciting! We have to ride about a 3-hour ferry trip just to get to the island. We will be staying at the Pricia Resort. I heard that the island is only about 8 square miles in area. So, it'll be easy to get around. There is a good amount of fun activities to get into, and as you can tell, I am pretty excited about this. Also, it's perfect because Kyle gets Thursday- Sunday off for July 4th! Let the vacation begin! WOoHOo!
Kyle said I should have waited to blog about it after we come back, but I just had to share with you all the exciting news. :) I'm sure I will post another blog telling you all what we did along with some pictures. Don't I have such a sweet husband?!
