IE Island Retreat

Kyle and I went on our marriage retreat this past weekend, and had an awesome time. We attended a few sessions they had for us and it was really beneficial. We came away with some really good information. We also got to have a good amount of free time and enjoyed the island. The activity we probably enjoyed the most was whale watching! It was so much fun!!!  That was not free, but it was worth the money we paid to be able to see the whales. What amazing creatures. Definitely an experience we will never forget. We were worried we wouldn't be able to see any, but God gave us a good show because we got to see quite a few. We went out on a super nice boat (which Kyle said he'll buy me.... one day. haha!) It was actually the last week of whale watching here. The whales usually migrate down from mainland Japan to spawn in the warmer waters and and stay until the end of March. We got some pretty good video footage that I am hoping to put on here as well. But for now, enjoy a whole slew of pictures! :) Sorry they are kind of random and not in any particular order.

Taken on the ferry ride over to Ie Island.

Taking a walk on the beach at the resort.

Some of the grub we got to eat....

Overlooking the island

We got to drive the boat!! Okay, maybe not for real, it was on auto pilot....  :)
Tails of two whales... side by side.
It was like the whales were giving us our own show!
Notice anything different about Kyle?
The driver and other people that went whale watching...

Very nice...
Picture of the boat we rode on... the one Kyle is going to buy me one day.  :)
The beach on the resort...
The resort we stayed at
The view on the balcony outside of our room!
Riding on the ferry... the water is so beautiful!

On the ferry going home. IE Island in the background.

David said you live in paradise! I agree. So glad you guys had that kind of opportunity. When you get the boat you have to take us for a ride!
