Couldn't remember my age...

Kyle and I had to go in and fill paperwork this morning and they asked for my age. Neither one of us could remember!!!!! It was so bizarre. We had to do the math, and even after that, I couldn't believe that I was 23. And I've been 23 for ... how many months now? Since December! HAHA! But really, the whole time I was like... wow, I have no idea how old I am?! But, I didn't feel too bad since Kyle couldn't remember either. We even went back to when we were first dating and tried to remember how old I was then counted how many birthdays I've had since then... sigh.

Oh, and the paperwork we filled out was for a Marriage Enrichment Retreat happening the weekend of March 12-14th. I am so so so excited. We tried to go to the last one and didn't make the list. And we were blessed because someone happened to cancel for this retreat and we were next on the waiting list. And it's a looooong waiting list. The reason it's tough to get in is because the entire retreat is paid for!! This includes lodging and all meals. So a lot of people try to take advantage of this great deal. The retreat is located on a small island off the coast of Okinawa. Similiar to where we went for our anniversary last summer, but not as far. Also, a chaplain comes along and holds sessions to help... enrich marriages. Hehe. So there is a lot of information covered from communication to conflict resolution. All things we can use some help in. But there is also a good amount of free time that you get. There are activities like different water sports and of course just strolling the beaches. It will be a nice getaway. It's put on by CREDO (which I'm not even sure what it stands for or means) but basically "it is a highly effective retreat program that supports the Marine Corps' readiness, retention, recruiting and quality of life priorities. It provides programs for personal growth, character development, team building, ethical leadership, and workshops on marriage enrichment and spiritual growth. The retreats provide participants the opportunity to develop new perspectives about their relationships with family and friends, the military and spiritual traditions. Best of all it is FREE!" ... This was all taken from a Marine Corps website explaining what Credo does... But yeah, I really like that FREE part.  :) We are really looking forward to the trip as long as Kyle can get that Friday off. We are praying it works out!

That retreat sounds awesome! what a blessing that it's free too! I'll pray that Kyle gets that Friday off! :) Enjoy!

....ummmm.....about that age thing... you might be a bit too young to be having memory problems like that! :) hehehe....blame it on the pregnancy. :)

News from J and E--

We're looking into the adoption process that we had decided to do prior to us being married. I don't know anything more yet, but I've got my feelers out for good solid current information and ideas for fund-raising.

Jamin's had solid work for the last 2.5 weeks! I'm praying that trend continues. :)

Work is going well. The kids are starting to get super familiar with each other and are starting to argue kind of like how brothers and sisters do, so I'm constantly mediating right now... but still have time to teach. :)

I can't think of anything else.

Talk later,
em
