I figured I'd write a little something since blogging has been scarce lately. Kyle thought I should tell everyone this funny story that happened a couple of weeks ago in church. We've already told some of you, but you can still laugh...
So, on the first Sunday of each month we have the Lord's Supper at church. As everyone knows it's a time of reflection, remembrance, and respect. Well, being the goof I am and considering I've been lacking a bit in the brain cells department, I was sitting waiting my turn for the plate of "bread" (crackers) to be passed around. As the usher comes to our row, Kyle grabs his cracker then hands me the plate. I instantly grab one up and without even thinking about it, popped it into my mouth. This is bad. Typically you wait until everyone has their crackers, the ushers go back to the front, and then wait for the pastor to give you the okay to eat it. Did I wait? No. I think I was so hungry and obviously not paying attention to what I was doing that I devoured the cracker right then and there in front of the usher. I'm sure he was thinking... "how rude!" And I'm also sure everyone around me was looking at me like I had no manners or maybe they were thinking "someone get this pregnant lady some food!" I was so embarrassed. Kyle had been looking down, probably praying, doing what he was supposed to be doing when he looked up at me and asked...."Where is your cracker?" My response as I hung my in head in shame... "Um, I ate it." Kyle just shook his head in disbelief. Then he proceeded to laugh at me. :)
